"After the Rain Wiswell" Medium Watercolour. Wiswell is a beautiful Ribble Valley village with lots of hidden delights. I enjoy walking and exploring its mysteries. It is often very peaceful as it contains no shops today and just one pub, the Freemasons Arms.

Field Barn I, Wiswell

This watercolour holds a special place in my history. Shortly after discovering this beautiful field barn I decided to do something with my work. Before this time I was painting very rarely when the mood took me, this painting represents a turning point. in my creative output.

Field Barn II, Wiswell

"Field Barn 2 Wiswell " Medium Watercolour. This hidden aspect of a barn near Wiswell gave me a lovely surprise as I hopped over the gate to see what was there. I'm interested in recording these lovely old barns as they are fast disappearing, to the commercial eyes of developers.

Wiswell Weeping Cross

This road side cross has some association with the now dissolved monastery at Whalley. The base is much older than the present cross. The present cross gets its sad name from the fact that funeral processions would stop at the side of it. It is also known as Wiswell Shey Cross.
